
Iavora Vlaytcheva
Iavora earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia and holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she focused on urban government and nonprofit management. She later earned her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law.
Before attending law school in 2021, Iavora spent a decade working in Chicago’s nonprofit sector, specializing in grant writing and development management for small community-based organizations. During law school, she worked with asylum seekers to help them secure legal status through DePaul’s Asylum and Refugee Clinic and served on the DePaul Journal for Social Justice.
Iavora brings a strong commitment to social justice and a passion for serving communities with integrity. She strives to ensure justice and dignity for every client she represents.
Outside of work, Iavora enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, biking, and exploring new restaurants around Chicago. She lives with her husband and their four cats.
